Since the merger, my already highish prices seem to continually grow larger. I also don’t trust the company as much since the merger. I’m sure my sentiment is not unique. Any advice from other Linode refugees who are fleeing, or have fled, this corporate invasion?

I mainly use Linode for VM hosting. I dabble with cloud stuff but feel most comfortable operating full Linux distros and managing system security and deployment myself, for better or worse… Also open to dedicated servers if the price/quality ratio is right, but more likely a VM host is what I’ll need.

I’ve been with Linode well over a decade now and haven’t navigated the hosting waters in some time, so any suggestions are appreciated!
