Hi,
I am planning to pay for Windows VPS hosting – the site I’m looking at includes these additional options (prices shown are the monthly fee):
Options (text in brackets is taken from the “i” icon when hovering over each of the options above):
- Vulnerability Testing ( A monthly vulnerability scan (via nessus) that will produce a report of vulnerabilities on your server, accessible from your control panel. Scans can also be requested on demand.)
- Port Monitoring ( An automated process that will check on the availability of ports on your server.)
- Virtual Hardware Firewall ( A virtual firewall that will protect all services within a single VLAN.)
I have been running a Windows 2012 R2 VPS server with the company since 2015 without these options enabled but am upgrading to a newer version of Windows Server and wondered if people would recommend them?
Nothing “bad” has happened with my old setup without the options enabled, but I was just curious what others thought.
Thanks
