WordPress restore after changing hosts?

DateDec 7, 2023

I’m scrambling to figure out what to do. My website was hosted on Hostinger, which I did not have access to the hosting credentials. I own the domain. I had WordPress Admin Control and made a backup of the files, I have a wpress file and a separate export.

I bought another host on Hostinger so I have access to my website files. After removing it Hostingers NameServers from my Domain to the default ones then switching it back to the Hostingers NameServers and adding the domain to my host, my domain is being hosted on the servers I have control on.

The problem is I’m having issues doing a restore. The All-In-One plugin produced a wpress backup that exceeds the 1GB allowed. I manually moved over wp-admin, wp-content, wp-includes, and a bunch of other files, but my website layout has not changed,

Can anyone please provide guidance here? Would it be easier to use the All-In-One import and using the paid version so no limits on import size?

The reason I moved from the original host was the ‘developer’ who setup the wordpress site never gave me access to the hosting credentials like agreed and really overcharged me and lied about where we was from.
